Dogs often feel more relaxed when their owners are not present during grooming. However, if your dog has specific needs or if you'd specifically prefer to stay, we can discuss this during the consultation, but generally it’s not a good idea.

Absolutely! I have years of experience working with nervous or anxious dogs. My priority is to create a calm, safe, and positive environment where your dog feels as comfortable as possible.

If your dog is nervous:

• I’ll take extra time to build trust with your dog.

• I work at their pace, allowing breaks if needed to reduce stress.

• I use gentle handling techniques and positive reinforcement to help them feel safe.

Matted fur can be uncomfortable for your dog and difficult to manage. I’ll do my best to safely and gently remove mats, but in severe cases, trimming or clipping may be the best option. We’ll discuss this during the assessment.

The duration of a grooming session depends on your dog’s size, coat condition, and the services requested. On average, sessions take between 1.5 to 3 hours. Rest assured, I take the time needed to ensure a calm, stress-free experience for your pet.

I only use high-quality, pet-safe grooming products that are gentle on your dog’s skin and coat. If your dog has any allergies or sensitivities, please let me know during the consultation.

If your dog is aggressive:

• During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your dog’s behaviour in detail so I can prepare accordingly.

• Depending on their needs, I may recommend shorter sessions initially to help them acclimate and get to know and trust me.

• In some cases, safety tools like a soft muzzle may be necessary, but this will always be done with your approval and your dog’s comfort in mind.

This depends on your dog’s breed and coat type. As a general guide:

• Long-haired breeds may need grooming every 4–6 weeks.

• Short-haired breeds may require grooming every 8–12 weeks.
